Angela Berry is a Bay Area based artist, writer and educator. Her work has been exhibited at The Ganza Art Lab, Tokyo; Eldfjallasafn / Volcano Museum, Stykkishólmur, Iceland; CTRL+SHFT, Oakland; Jewish Community Center of San Francisco; Slide Space 123 Gallery, Mills College, Oakland; Minnesota Street Project, San Francisco; Mass Gallery, Austin; Get This Gallery, Atlanta; Fort Gondo Compound for the Arts, St. Louis; Biggin Gallery, Auburn University, Auburn; Ogden Museum of Southern Art, New Orleans; Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans; Jonathan Ferrara Gallery, New Orleans; Barristers Gallery, New Orleans; The Front, New Orleans, and Vox Populi, Philadelphia among others. She has received artist and research residencies at the Vermont Studio Center (2013) and Vatnasafn / Library of Water (2017). Berry is a former artist-member of The Front collective in New Orleans (2012-2015). She received an MFA in Fine Art (2016) and an MFA in Visual & Critical Studies from California College of the Arts (2017), where she was awarded the Bernard Osher Scholarship (2014 - 2017), and a BA from Sewanee: The University of the South (2008). She has taught at Lewis & Clark College (2021), the San Francisco Arts Institute (2020), California College of the Arts (2017 - 2018), and Sewanee: The University of the South (2018). She is currently a Studio Assistant at the Estate of Larry Sultan and Lecturer at San Francisco State University. Her work and curatorial collaborations have been reviewed in Art In America, Artforum, and Art Papers.
